Re: Sooooo...The Coronavirus

Stated before I was not posting on this thread and was posting on the thread that got merged. Going back to my original stand. As some can't see the wood for the trees.

Re: Sooooo...The Coronavirus

You shouldn't be so rude Jim, people on here listen to you as they do to everyone, and I don't think they really deserve insults for indulging each other.

Re: Sooooo...The Coronavirus

Tbh Jim as I think I said before - who gives a **** about the wood OR the trees?
Is it man made? Is it natural? Is the government fucking it up? Are they doing a good job?
It doesn't matter. None of it matters. All that matters is just getting from A to Z and leaving a positive mark.

I asked IJ to merge the thread as it had become a thread about Coronavirus, so you were actually posting on a topic that you said you weren't going to comment on.  (I had actually forgotten that you said that as, to be fair, you've said that about a few threads over the while).

Just because people have different opinions on the topic from you, it doesn't mean they can't see the wood for the trees, though, Jim.

For me, lives come before profit and I think it's better to be cautious than gung ho, which is what I think the UK government is trying to do and what Sturgeon is trying to avoid.

The fact that the UK government is telling people that it is their 'civic duty' to avoid public transport but that they should go to work, tells me all I need to know about their disdain for Jo public and their fixation with the economy and their adulation of the advancement of the elite.

Re: Sooooo...The Coronavirus

Ok just to be clear then I am out. First off HC, You said the 1800 were tested. No they were not. lots of deaths in care homes and there were no tests done. Like I said there are three lists on a certificate, the third is basically a fill in for any causes that MAY have contributed. Many of the care home deaths were not related but as long as it was listed in the third slot it was counted in the government figures. So no they did not test the dead from care homes so the figures are false.

Anders, No comment on the answer I gave about doing it right. Neither Strugeon or Boris has done it right by the country.
Secondly you suggest my comment on Sturgeon using this as a political tool. The Scotsman paper the last couple of days has run with, the SNP using C19 to further the rift to promote Independence and today they are running with Sturgeon demanding more spending powers for the Scottish Parliament.
So it's not just my take on it. I support the SNP BUT Sturgeon is not the right one to lead the party. On a side note her insistence on women taking a bigger part shows her agenda, IF a woman is the best candidate then give her the job, however she is promoting women over better qualified men simply due to gender.

So is it any wonder I get pissed when the PARTY line is quoted with no thought to what is going on behind the scenes. Look at the bigger picture and don't just quote what Strugeon/ Boris says as if it's the only truth.

Now I am done.

My instinct is to reply to what you've posted Jim, but there's not much point given you've said you won't post on the thread again (how many times? )

Instead, here's a wee video for you.  Now, sing along.

Re: Sooooo...The Coronavirus

Best part of lockdown so far?  Without a doubt the haircut I've just given Mr HC.

Think I might pursue a new career once this is all over.

Re: Sooooo...The Coronavirus

See things are beginning to ease off back home now, so hopefully that's good news. Ken my old boy has been going spare without getting out for his daily pint.
Still a week or two behind Scotland over here, so I'll maybe see a cold one poured by August.
