Re: The Craig Levein thread

Craig Levein. You have broken my hopes, you have destroyed my dreams and childhood.
How dare you....HOW DARE YOU!

Re: The Craig Levein thread

Levein's last statement saying things will improve after players come back, totally contradicts his other press release, saying to get emergency cover would mean players who have not played for a while taking a month to get back up to speed/match fitness. So does he think Naysmith etal will suddenly be match fit when they return?

Re: The Craig Levein thread

We will continue to scrutinise our on-field performances and should we feel our plans are going astray and our approach needs to be adjusted, we will respond accordingly.

From Ann Budge's statement in mid-September.  I wonder if we don't get at least one victory this week, might that be the final nail?  Surely two defeats, leaving us out the diddy cup and (joint?) bottom would be the end of the line?  Or will we just wait until his contract is up at the end of the season?

Re: The Craig Levein thread

But we do have the promise of improvement with so many players to come back, and that might be CL's only argument to the board.

Re: The Craig Levein thread

The fan ownership is finalised in a few months isn't it? They'll have little impetus to do anything dramatic in the meantime, especially if it ties a new regime to something that regime might not want.
Which would leave the idea that a change could be made now with the next ownerships approval, but the next ownership won't be in a position to sign a binding agreement yet and a new manager is unlikely to be happy with such a state of affairs. So I think we'll see nothing until the fan takeover unless we get isolated at the bottom or start playing in an empty stadium.

Levein has stated he won't sign any replacements for those injured, due to the fact they would take some time to get match fit. Obviously the injured players returning won't be match fit either so not expecting immediate improvement.
