Hearts v Kilmarnock

I'm not ready for another 90 minutes of abject horror, yet here we are. HOORAY.

Re: Hearts v Kilmarnock

Could see what he might've been thinking. They have decent centre-backs and don't concede, they're dependable in central midfield, we don't have a decent fit central striker, so don't take them on in the middle - play mobile players instead and try playing through & around them.  They didn't make chances really - can't remember another shot that needed a save - and we missed two chances.  But.....we made only two?

Do the fans take over in Feb?  In which case is Budgerigran's thinking that he may as well stay until then rather than blow money on bringing in someone new, esp if the new regime doesn't want the replacement.  But a replacementr looks like what we need.

Re: Hearts v Kilmarnock

Personally would like Budge to stay on, BUT if she can't do the right thing and dump lover boy then she too can GTF. There is no obvious reason for her to back him like she does, so there must be something more sinister going on. Just what is the hold he has over her that she can't do the obvious thing and get rid.
Levein has lied to the club and fans previously, and has done so again after the game. Claiming McLean has played too many games this month, He is blaming the players for his mistakes. No striker, wing backs that can't play in that position and an obvious back four dropped for a back three that has failed time and again this season.
The last 20 games , 2 wins, 5 draws and 13 losses, if this is not a sackable stat then he will die of old age and still be in the dugout.
Budge has to act, the international break is the ideal time to blood a new manager, and if she has not got a replacement lined up, then she is not doing here job.
I am sure other can say, but is there not a law that states the board can be prosecuted if they are not working in the best interest of the company?

Re: Hearts v Kilmarnock

Just an addition to what i posted earlier, many are blaming injuries and we don't have a full first team pick so cut Levein some slack.

However, IMHO it's when a manager has adversity that his true worth shines through. A good a manger would use what he has ( many lower league manager do this with less than half out budget or players ) and get the best out of his reserves. Levein has not done this as he is stubbourn and pig headed and won't or can't see his own failings.

Re: Hearts v Kilmarnock

This is the sentence that annoyed me:

Aidan is untried and untested at this level but we brought him on to try and get us a goal

Well try him and test him then - 10 minutes isn't a decent opportunity for him.

He's an answer or he isn't - if he is then play him, if he isn't then send him out on loan again until he is, surely?
