Madness

No, not a description of the world at present: I'm going to see them in Aberdeen on Thursday! 😁

Re: Madness

I do love live music, nothing beats it. Over here I've seen Billy Bragg and Violent Femmes.

Re: Madness

I saw Billy Bragg at the Queen's Hall in the early 90s.

I wouldn't go near him now with all his gender nonsense and misogyny.  No, women can't have penises.

Re: Madness

I hardly go to live music now. It's one of my big joys tho. Besides the 'big names' I've seen, I've enjoyed going to see others that I haven't been bothered about (just cos they were on locally + cheap) and found they were great live.

Interesting.  Should it not be possible to separate the art from the artist?

Enjoy Madness though - should be a great gig!

Not when it involves money coming out of my pocket.  I will not give money to anyone who promotes a social contagion.

Quite right!
Bragg has long been a bit of a heid the ba.

Re: Madness

Well, what a gig!  Suggs has still got it for an older guy.

It's probably one of the most authentic gigs I've seen.  They played for an hour and fifty minutes, which is no mean feat by today's standard.

Would recommend you see them if you get the chance.
