Levein again

So Mickey Stewart has a dig at Levein talking about being after Loic Damour and the media calling him out for it.
Levein may well have been after Damour for sometime as DoF but that in it'self is telling you Levein was scouting and signing players without the manager's input.
Something I have been saying for a long time now, Levein interfering with the manager's signings and tactics and strengthens my belief he was the main reason why Robbie left.
Many don't like Mickey but for me he is one of the better pundits but his dislike of Levein sometimes goes a little too far and personal. However most of what he says is spot on.

It’s part of the DoF’s role to identify transfer targets Jim.

I’d love to sit and listen to you and Stewart have pint and a chat about Levein 😂

First two hours would be them arguing which one is buying the first round.

Re: Levein again

Sorry Ian but the Dof role is to negotiate deals between clubs and players the MANAGER has identified as someone he wants in the team. It's the scouts job to seek out players and bring them to the MANAGERS attention.

Yes, but it’s not out with his boundaries to identify players. This happens at other clubs that has a DoF.
I personally don’t think we need one but there you go.

Re: Levein again

Oh for feck sake! Levein blaming the players for hoofball.

Quote: I can always tell when they are suffering because we start battering the ball ti Uche and hope for the best and it never works for us, it's not something we do in training. But when the players get nervous they know if the ball is away from them they can't be at fault for anything. When you watch most team when they are struggling a wee bit that tends to be the default position.

Jesus Christ the guy can't even admit he's the reason for the players having no confidence. For professional players of experience to act in this manner is diabolical. If they can't play football what are we paying them for?
If he doesn't want them hoofing the ball then leave Uche on the bench FFS.
