It's hilarious - or not - when you go to a friendly - and the old guy behind you, has a particular player judged, and sent to shite players' hell, condemned for the rest of the season, after only 5 minutes of play!

Always amazes me how folks think pre-season friendlies and the results matter.
Some forums fill up with angst concerning a result in which 17 players were involved!
Only the Ross County gave will offer a reason to moan...

Hearts (and probs fans of every club) moan? 😄😄😄😄. Have seen them start on Boyce already. So many didn't get that his role changed last season with Simms on the field, and maybe will be changing again now without him. As you say, friendlies and a chance to try different pairings and styles..

In the book that covered season 1957/58 it claims that as the season began fans were booing Jimmy Wardhaugh!

Good result and performance against Stoke on Saturday. Great to see Shankland grab a double in his debut.
Can’t say I was overly impressed with the opposition, mind. I know it’s only a friendly but if that was close to their strongest team, then they’re going to struggle badly this season.
