Re: John Souttar

I may be wrong, Ian, but there's a hint in your post that you're not best pleased with John Souttar...

Re: John Souttar

It's rubbish, him going there. Such a waste when he could've gone outside of Scotland. Ah ken at the hun they'll have bigged up the chance of his getting regular first team action which might be less guaranteed elsewhere. But elsewhwere he'd prob have got more money than at the hun but whether that's the case or not, he'd have been playing against different players than he has been with us - probably better players - giving him the chance to become a better player himself.

And besides - it's the hun

edit - I'm discounting the idea that 'we stood by him thru his injuries' cos what else were we going to do? - he was our player and it's not a case of sticking by, it's just what a club does.

Re: John Souttar

Rangers fan as a kid wasn't he?  I'm guessing he wasn't angry, but less than pleased we didn't stand by him when we had a chance to extend but sat on our hands with his injury.

Not that ANY of that means I'm pleased he's going to that shithouse and for zero compo.

Re: John Souttar

Pretty sure we gave him an extension while he was injured the previous time.

Re: John Souttar

Thnik you're right.  But, players always get their knickers in a twist when they don't feel the club is 100% behind them when their future is less than guaranteed.  We were in a bad spot - can't afford to have someone on large wages that can't play due to injury or long rehab, but now we're paying that gamble's price for gettin zero compensation for a quality player walking out the door.

Re: John Souttar

Rangers have no money, again, so we will get nothing.
Leveins spin sound good but if he was offered large sums to go to Newcastle or Liverpool he would forget Rangers.
Money talks.
I suggest he goes now as he will not be able to play well in the atmosphere he will generate.

Re: John Souttar

Fuck him. I've been told the reason for the family thing, and no doubt it'll come out. It's awful - but abhorrent to use it as a reason.

Re: John Souttar

Hearts trying to convince us that he only missed Saturday because he was carrying a knock. Should be good for Celtic though.

They must think we’re stupid.
