Nah, he's no deid.
His top 20 as per the Guardian.
Quite a varied list and agree with many of those in the top 10.
He's still an arrogant tosser though, and may well be the Mod Father, but he hasn't worn well and really needs to get out his midlife crisis regarding his hair and clothes. There's nothing worse than middle aged men trying to re-live their youth.

Disagree with most of the top 10, either what's in there or where they are. But that's taste for you 🤷♂️
About 3 or 4 years ago I saw him at Edinburgh Castle on a Friday night then Neil Young & Bob Dylan in Hyde Park the next day. Weller was the best I'd ever seen (heard) him and Young & Dylan the worst I'd ever seen them, the opposite of what I'd expected. Tbh PWs gig improved the v jaded view i had of him then. As for N Young and Bob Dylan many critics said afterwards they were brilliant, at their best etc. Allowing for differences in taste I suspected a bit of 'too big to criticise ' in there as well from the journos.

Mildly weird that when he released his first solo stuff I thought he was ancient, an elder statesman of a bygone age. He was 33.
