The Grassmarket - didn't dislike it but it was a scary dark place when I was wee.

Plenty of places like that, that nowadays are so different.  Lots of places in Leith come to mind.

Maybe gentrification is a good thing afterall.

It's one of my biggest regrets that I can't make mashed tatties like my mum used to make. 

Agree with you on the mushroom front.  I used to really dislike them but they're definitely a item on my weekly food shop now.
