We're staying ahead cos other teams are no more consistent.
Plenty are getting at RN, I understand that but before him Stendl was poor, before him CL was no better, before him ICathro was the same. The manager before him had us 3rd in the SPL (Robbie himself). Before him Gary Locke had administration and a recruitment ban, before him John McGlynn wasn't up to much. You've got to ask yourself if it's really the manager. That list started with the end of the Romanov time then went into the Levein era at Robbie's first term. And it looks like we've never really recovered from the administration, maybe cos of expectations after it being too high maybe cos of recruitment policy, maybe both & other things.

Honestly it's because I think we keep trying to be "clever". Cathro/Levein/Stendel all guys that had a great sounding system that would take us to the next level, all systems that were absolute dugmeat. Neilson not quite the same but for whatever reason he decided that winning games by several goals at a canter wasn't for him and he preferred allowing teams as many chances to score as they like. What do Hearts need? Tragically someone like Tommy Wright who has no interest in a system beyond kicking and scrapping. It's Scottish football and we are never, ever, ever going to be anything other than a team that finishes third sometimes. Time to accept that and play to it.
