Re: The Official Jnet Guid Hings Thread

Maybe a short gap in it being all that good for those working on it. We've got a pernicious weed in one of the ponds, don't want to use chemicals or introduce new mites to eat it, can only work on it in Jan/Feb when the rarer wildlife isn't in there, so.....someone has to break the ice then stand in freezing water for hours raking it out. 😨❄️❄️

Well, be careful - hypocrisy can set in really quickly in these temperatures! ❄

Re: The Official Jnet Guid Hings Thread

A week on Friday, I'm getting a pup.

Another black Lab.

A wee pal for my black, hairy baby who's now 3 and a half.

Can't wait.

If I knew how to post a photo, I would.

imgur.com is good for uploading photos to, it's where I stick the ones I take of this wee rascal

My sister's a dog person, mostly long-haired labs (she'd correct me for not remembering their proper name). Shows them, judges shows, breeds them. She's just let one have pups, expecting the usual hard work, long nights with a handful of pups.

Her dog's produced 11 😳!

Says it's the last time, won't have another batch 😄. But she been saying that for about 10 years.

Every day's a school day; first time I've heard of long haired Labs.

My current dog was one of 13!  New pup is one of 8.

I got my dog spayed a couple of years ago as I didn't want any boy dogs near her!

Unfortunately there has been a lot of irresponsible buying and breeding of pups during lockdown with many rescue shelters no longer able to rehome.

Getting mine cut two weeks today - thank goodness!

I've been cutting Mr HC's hair and have done a pretty good job, even if I say so myself!
