I'll be happier if Haring gets some form back and we can see if Halliday improves by having him just in front. Suspect he's getting a game just now cos there's nobody else for the role.

Think it's a bit early to be writing players off after one poor half. They simply won the half-time tactics & strategy session.  For me we had the same problem as last season tho not quite as bad - centre mid and centre attacking mid isn't a forceful presence., it lets the opposition have too much say in those areas of the field. We've gone for Naismith there, who moves around to hunt possession which is fine but it leaves that area short, and Naisy isn't on top form - good player good positions good vision but the execution is costing possession too often. I'd let Wighton go through the middle for a while for a more direct simpler style. (His touch is OK just now, think he's in OK form but not as a wide player). Halliday = Bozanic, but until Haring gets some form & fitness back, if he does, then we're stuck with him. He doesn't look creative, but doesn't give the ball away too often so is there just as a tackler and someone to make himself always available and move the ball on. I might even try Brandon for a game there, or M Smiff with Brandon at RB. Souttar would let us look at 3 at the back but that's not going the be an answer for a while. Roberts has yet to impress.

Good that Haring had a decent game. We've got good players but every side up here has makeweights and we've had a problem in that ours all seem to play in the same part of the field, across the middle. A driving player in there might solve a bit of that.
