Still working from home.
It's hard now we're approaching winter and the clocks have changed.
I think people are finding it tough now.

My mate works in the office for West Lothian Council and has been told that he’ll be working from home until the new year at the earliest.

Same here, and we've been asked to consider home working or a combination of home/office based working for the future.

Too bad y'all don't have a fearless leader like the Orange One. We haven't beaten it - we just pretend it doesn't exist and make fun of people who wear masks. The aquarium cleaner tastes awful though.

Are you guys all essentially just living life as normal just now?

Not really. But restrictions and attitudes vary wildly. We had 20 people (and 13 kids and 7 adults) over on Halloween for an outdoor party for the kids. Adults all wore masks and everyone kept their distance. But that was on us versus any rules. Masks on whenever in stores or whatever. I’ve only been to a pub 4 times since March and Jenny and I went out for dinner for the first time since March a few weeks ago to an outside patio.
Kids are in hybrid schooling 2 days in and 3 days home but that looks like going to all distance soon.
On the other hand, you’ve got people doing whatever the hell they want.

Our kids are all back at school, thank goodness, and I think the government recognises how much a strain home-schooling was putting on both parents and the economy, so I think closing schools again will be a last resort. Did Jenny find teaching her own kids tougher than back in the day when she was in a classroom?!

Matthew is now full time distance learning as the middle and high schools have been put on that due to the case %. Elementary still on hybrid but an email from the school superintendent last night makes me think it won't be long before Fraser is fully back online too. They're actually running out of staff because of the explosion in cases.
I was WFH from March 13th so have been here to see the carnage of distance learning, Jenny wasn't really teaching as such, more stopping meltdowns and tbh, the end of last year from March through to the end of June was a bit of a joke in terms of online learning. It's much better now and the kids get on with it, we just have to check what they're submitting.

I know the feeling - if you can get through the day and the kids haven't killed each other, it's a bonus!

Interesting article.
