Andy Halliday

Signs for us on a 2 year deal.

Good signing.

Re: Andy Halliday

I'm not a fan tbh. Strikes me as another Pallardo, will tear up the Championship but doesn't have the legs for the top level. But **** it, if I knew what I was talking about I'd no be second bottom of the predictor.

Re: Andy Halliday

Yep, think he'll do a job for us.  Good to have some bite in midfield.

Re: Andy Halliday

2 years is a good deal with players brought in just now. They're here to get us promoted then stabilise in the top league. If they've got the quality we need from then, then a new deal.

Which would make sense if it wasn't the spfl we're talking about. The 'stabilise' season shouldn't be needed - players & management already know what's needed.
Which unfortunately means any player not retained by an spfl side is probably not going to be good enough for us either if/when we're back there. Unless Robbie has a masterplan and he's a part of the jigsaw....

Re: Andy Halliday

We might find that a particular player is good in a role we don't know about, eg Hartley was a winger before he came to us. Some on JKB are suggesting that Halliday can be a decent player, but he was just used in a particular way by TTFKAR.

Re: Andy Halliday

Silly to play him yesterday and now he's injured. thankfully just a slight tightness but never the less should have waited until he had trained a bit more.

Re: Andy Halliday

I guess it was fair enough Jim - he wasn't going to feature in competitive stuff for a few weeks so a run out to give him some sharpness as this was the last friendly chance.
