Looking for some books for my tablet for summer. I reckon it's probably time I read some Christopher Brookmyre - what's the best couple to start with? (HC?)
I've got a ton of actual books on my bookcases at home waiting to be read, so not after anything that needs me to read a whole series!

I got Billy Bragg's newest book (signed - *smuggy*) for my birthday but I'm not sure it's what you'd want to be lazily scanning through by the pool.

May not be your taste but have you read the Jack Reacher books? Or anything by James Patterson?
Maybe give us a clue as to what you want to read but these are a good start.

My fav author was Michael Crichton (RIP).
Also like crime, and a bit of John Grisham.

To my shame, I've never read Brookmyre. I think Ally Niemi was the big Brookmyre fan here.
I'm going through a Peter May phase just now.

Thought I'd re-start Forrest's thread.
Interestingly, I said I was on a Peter May phase and I'm currently reading Extraordinary People by the man himself. It's part of the Enzo series (the first possibly ?) and I'm enjoying it so far. (only 60 pages in).
The book I read before that is linked below. Absolutely stunning.
The whole Iolaire tragedy still runs strong in the islands. Whole villages and generations wiped out.

Got myself a Kobo so I can download books straight from a library. So am reading more than usual. Been enjoying some Claire North (she writes in 3 different styles under 3 names). Some are so-so some are better. And Chris Brookmyre's two under the name Ambrose Parry. (And the American author Neal Stephenson - his Reamde could've been a Brookmyre).

Anders download a programme called Calibre e book manager/ Books that are in different formats can be converted with ease. If I can do it anyone can. It has a huge library space to hold book read or unread.
