Re: New signings

Don't know anything at all about Washington, but most of the chat on JKB seems positive.

Halkett will be a good signing.  He was talking about the senior players showing him round, including Naismith, so I presume that it is indeed a formality that Naismith will sign (on Monday if what we're led to believe is true).

Still can't decide about Djoum.  He was probably one of our best players last year, but I'd like to see him drive us forward more like he used to do when he first arrived.

Re: New signings

So Washington signs. His scoring record leaves a lot to be desired. 20 caps with only 4 goals...one year at Sheffield with no goals...QPR 14 from 98 outings....33 from 94 games in two years at Peterbourgh  Haud me back, with his scoring record I want two season tickets...... eeerrrm maybe no.
Seriously how hard can it be to sign a forward that can score 20 a season?

Re: New signings

SMILE THOUGH YOUR HEART IS ACHING
SMILE EVEN THOUGH IT'S BREAKING

Fuck me, James. The boy played out of position on the wing in a league of a higher quality than ours. Mind how wee John Robertson scored nixie at Newcastle? Aye, that. Happy to stake my entire reputation and inheritance that Conor Washington will:

Be Hearts top scorer
Score AT LEAST 15 goals
Be our PotY

This is a class, class, class signing.

Re: New signings

Wanker signed.

No, that's not a spelling mistake.

Re: New signings

What is it with Levein and three year deals? The guy has to prove himself or he will be another addition to the long list of Levein failures.

Re: New signings

Jim. Is there one thing - just one thing - that you actually enjoy about supporting Hearts?

Re: New signings

IJ that's the point, I DO support Hearts and Levein is killing the club. You can support the club, and not support the manager. If you have time and can be bothered look back at who he has signed since 2014 and how much money he has cost the club. Then look into ho much money we are paying him and the fact he stated he doesn't take training and only visits once or twice a week to pick the team.
This is why I can't stand the useless piece of .............

Re: New signings

OK I confess, I don't follow players or know much about who is good and who is crap ( for me that is the job of the club scout )
But when was the last time we signed a " house hold " name ,a player who other clubs are beelin' we got and are afraid of playing against?
A player who has a proven goal scoring record and who fans are gagging to see in action?
I know we can't afford Messi but surely there are players out there that when signed, gives the fans a hope the league can be won ( ok second or third )
