Sign of the times. I used to really enjoy posting on Pie & Bovril but recently jacked that in. Some of the comments made about Budge (and condoned by the admin) were not stuff I'd feel comfortable putting on here, even as a reportage. There's a lot of no very nice people out there who're emboldened.

Yeah pretty much what Anders said, plus you've got in the background a certain side of the political divide being able to say/do whatever the **** they want without any kind of blowback. Monkey see monkey do.

Lots going on just now. Dundee saying they can't pay players and may have to invoke rule 12 and sack some players. Hibs sack 70 back room staff and after deferring wages have had to ask players to take a cut ( not heard if they have done so or not ) all the while signing three players.

Not a peep from Wishart the players rep but he was headline news when we cut wages first.

Surely (?) they've done a deal on the TV money to agree that instead of paying Sky back they'll forego future payments - and more of course cos of interest or of Sky's 'opportunity cost' on the amount - but that's still a cost that'll hit everyone in future if not today. Making it harder for them to get loans at an acceptable cost. Hence clubs letting players go.
Frustratingly tho these costs are ones we have to bear too as we're aprty to the whole thing, even tho we didn't vote for it.

Naff decision.

All clubs will suffer due to some putting self interest first. Had they gone with recon there would not be court or arbitration cost to add to the already hard times. Hearts are in a good place with benefactors backing the club for 5 years and FoH money. Outwith Celtic we are the only safe club.
