Re: Robbie Returns

Quite the whirlwind afternoon/evening.

Re: Robbie Returns

I have said many times That I thought Levein interfered with Robbie's team and tactics and for this reason Robbie lost games we should have won. Is it not strange that Robbie comes back just after Levein is dumped?
Feel sure Robbie will succeed this time as long as the fans give him a chance. The possibility of his first game being against Hibs in the cup means he's off on a loser if we don't win.

Re: Robbie Returns

We'll be boring as hell again, it seems he played that way with United. Still at least we'll be boring and win a few rather than be boring and get humped every single ****ing time.

Re: Robbie Returns

Pretty much what my DU supporting pal said. Dull football, defensive even when it wasn't necessary. But won the league by a margin.

Re: Robbie Returns

Was Robbie that defensive when we won the Championship? Walked that if I remember correctly.

Re: Robbie Returns

Not to start with - young side cantered away. Once it was pretty well won tho the football went a bit ordinary. My DU pal's been pretty consistent all season about moaning over the defensive style to be fair to him, but still he'll have a point to prove now - telling me he's not bothered about losing Robbie. He did admit tho that he thought that if RN had stayed there they'd do ok in the spl, likely with lots of 0-0 and 1-0 scores but dull football. Apparently they've had 2 defensive mids at home against the bottom sides. But RN can only play the players he has, maybe feels it suits his squad.

Re: Robbie Returns

We played class football in the Championship until the second we'd mathematically won it. The two months ending the season were turgid, and then the Premiership style is well known. I'm not complaining too much about it, to be honest I just want to remember what it's like to win games again

Re: Robbie Returns

Like I said previously. It was Levein's five year plan and he had us in the Championship for two years. Robbie romped it and once it was clear Levein's plan was shot and we would be in the top flight he started to take an interest. THAT is when it went down hill and IMHO why Robbie jumped ship.

Well you do think I am the conspiracy theorist on here.
