Re: Summer reading list

Tried that once for my wife's Kindle but it didn't get rid of the DRM, so it wouldn't open. Could be worth trying it again for her now I have a better grasp of it tho.

Re: Summer reading list

Nice, easy pre bed reading.

On a serious note, is it any good?

I won't lie, it's hard going.

Try reading it in English instead of Hungarian.

OH YOU

If sensible answers are required, I re-read the Basketball Diaries a couple of weeks ago. Not particularly easy to read either, but at least I didn't have to look up a lot of the words

Just to be clear you download onto a PC and not the kindle.

Re: Summer reading list

Thanks Jim. It's what I tried, but the DRM copyright restrictions didn't get removed. Don't need to do anything for my own (Kobo works with library books and widely-used formats) but Kindle needs Calibre. Tbf I only tried it the once and prob made a mistake myself, but might have another go now I understand it a bit better. (I think!!).

Re: Summer reading list

With Calbre you can convert many of the formats and download books for free with " Electronic library "
" online Library " and " Free ebooks "

Thought I'd re-start Forrest's thread.

Interestingly, I said I was on a Peter May phase and I'm currently reading Extraordinary People by the man himself.  It's part of the Enzo series (the first possibly ?) and I'm enjoying it so far. (only 60 pages in).

The book I read before that is linked below.  Absolutely stunning.

The whole Iolaire tragedy still runs strong in the islands.  Whole villages and generations wiped out.

Finished the Peter May book last night.  Really good - worth a read.
