At 37. Possibly still better than the other keepers we have/had recently, but should we be pushing for a younger player?

Personally think he’s past it but still better than what we have at the moment. Might be good for Harry Stone to work alongside though.

Still a far better keeper than any in the last three or more seasons. PLUS he will retire and become our "goaly" trainer. Always said the best keepers are tall and I am sure he will save more than he lets in.

Only needs to be short term until Stone is first team ready, then as Jim says he can go onto coaching. Win/win for everybody.

That Craig Gordon back now then aye?
Compared to Pereira (good distribution, didn't bother stoppoing too many shots) and Zlamal (great saves, but had clangers too) it's an improvement. Still thought there was another option in McLoughlin but Craig it is. Could be worse.
It's tempting to look at the points Pereira's lapses cost and blame him for being bottom...but there were 10 other people on the park who didn't score enough to make it irrelevant, could look at Naismith missing 2 sitters in 2 consecutive matches just before the end which would've put us in position for another 4 points, could look at any player not making the right pass to set up winning goals or not being in position to mop up danger and avoid losing goals.

Stuck by Pereira far too long - I think the whole team suffered as nobody had confidence in him.
