Going for a 5-man midfield?
That leaves just John Robertson up front then.
That's 4.
You're forgetting Rudi - it looks like the voting is 2-1 in his favour if you're planning on resisting what is looking pretty inevitable?

Always with the arguments.
GK - Goram
RB - McLaren
LB - Fyssas
CB - Weir
CB - Sauzee
RM - Boyle
LM - Skacel
CM - Hartley (c)
Now that leaves three positions up for grabs, two of which are required to be Hibs. Let's not pretend it's going to be three.

Right, Latapy then.

Ok. Up front....
The record books say John Robertson.

Wouldn't argue with that.
He'll be paired with Riordan.

A wee but surprised - thought you'd go for the thumb.

There was an abundance of talent there I could have gone for. O'Connor would have worked well with Robbo, could have gone for Keith Keith Keith Keith Keith or Kenney Miller.

Robbo was utterly focused and single-minded up front. Not that he wouldn't bring others into the game, more that he'd use the others but it was to make chances not to fool around making fancy patterns. Used to enjoy his pre-match warm-ups. The others would be stretching, trotting, passing, playing little triangles. Robbo was in the 6 yard box and he'd collar a winger to cross the ball which he'd blooter into the net over & over again. And if the winger put a couple behind him or over him he'd get telt. Alan Preston got telt cos he wasn't the most consistent crosser and I imagine he'd try to come out for the long warm up a few seconds late, after Robbo had collared someone else to provide his ammunition. His interplay with Derek Ferguson was good tho cos Ferguson, for all his square-pass ways, understood that Robbo wanted 1:2s and someone to show so the defenders would move slightly and so it's what he did more often than not. Why am I rambling on with this drivel?- it's cos the up-front team mate needs to be someone who doesn't grab everything and sees the subtlety that's in Robertson's game so I'd have thought Miller or Griffiths might've been a good partner. O'Connor prob less so, but not sure about Riordan, was he happy to work hard but always feel he was the junior partner?
