Re: The Official Jnet Guid Hings Thread

Scorchio up here today! (15 degrees) and it's set to continue into next week.

Went for a lovely walk on the beach with pooch and  Mr HC.

Just back home, sitting in the garden, with a wee rum (in the absence of vine rosso).

There's barely a ripple on the sea loch my garden looks over and the Harris hills are clear in the distance.  Bliss.

Re: The Official Jnet Guid Hings Thread

Tho am on a ve-e-e-e-e-e-ery extended move from england back to Edinburgh, still live some of the time where I've lived in England for over 30 years. Recently have been looking for walks where I won't bump into many people, for obvious reasons, and have gone walking on paths I've never bothered to be on before, all starting not too far away. Have stumbled upon quiet pretty walks and yesterday a bluebell wood I never knew existed. Cos there are fields at the back of us and a reservoir next to the village I've usually tramped around those places but now there are reasons to look for the quietest places it's been great to find hardly-touched locations so close. Been quite a bonus.

That, and the fact that the cattle in the field behind us are a bit aggressive this year and I'm a wimp about going through them!

Re: The Official Jnet Guid Hings Thread

Went for a drive. Sick fed up sitting in so when out shopping I noticed loads of Cyclists ( the Lycra kind ). Why are they allowed to cycle anywhere they like but I can't drive? Closed up in a box with no contact between me and anyone outside, yet cyclists are cycling past walkers and other cyclists. On top of all that they claim if in an accident it would put strain on the NHS, well I can be damn sure some twat will fall off his bike long before I have a bump.

Re: The Official Jnet Guid Hings Thread

I really enjoy the back garden nature I get here. Back in Embra you sit out back, and what do you get? Maybe a half deid crow or a dozen seagulls screeching. Sat on the deck today and I saw cardinals, blue jays and fed some squirrels, whilst a couple of the neighbourhood cats came and hung out in the sun too. It's good for the soul, that.

That's nice BUT how long before your moaning there's no water?
