I thought Alan Maybury was great.
Paterson - defensively not brilliant, but has the attributes listed above. Smith so solid & dependable. Can't remember if Agathe was actually any good in defence!

Would it help stimulate conversation if I added Davie Weir in for right back? Was absolutely class there til he moved to the centre. Love Mikey Smith and CPatz, but they were a bit short compared to him and McLaren imo

Too valuable & influential in the middle to use up at RB. Who's been better than him in the centre? I'd vote for Paterson or McLaren at RB. Unless we have enough CBs that I'm forgetting who've been as good - presumably there must be some (but I've only got Webster to offer of the top of my head).

Looks like there's going to have to be hibbies across the midfield then cos at CB I'm thinking Weir & Webster (but haven't thought much about it so there's probably other names which'll leave me saying "..... oh yeah🙄...").
Tho when we get to the midfield there's Paul Hartley. And Colin Cameron. And Magic Johnston. And Neil McCann. And..... And.....
