Re: Sooooo...The Coronavirus

They are not taking on any new customers at this time. IF you had deliveries before you could get a priority slot but I never use them. Prefer to go out EVERY day shopping just to get the exercise even if that is just a walk round Livingston designer outlet or Morrisons it makes no difference. Good news is the freezer is full and we have chocolate. ( Babs only takes it in moderation and not often ) but I can guzzle almost as much as IJ drinks beer......... Ok maybe no.

Re: Sooooo...The Coronavirus

Jim, please take these words in the kind way they are meant.

You absolutely should be exercising every day but should NOT be doing it in a supermarket or shopping centre.  A walk round the block is what you should be doing, NOT going in to shops, especially if you say that your freezer is full.

If you can manage on what you have in the freezer, a weekly shop, or even less frequently if possible, is what you should be doing.

The bottom line is,  going out every day to supermarkets or similar is putting Babs and yourself at risk.  DONT DO IT!

Sorry HC you misunderstand. We used to go out every day shopping for the exercise, and didn't use home delivery and that is why we can't get a slot now.
Only go out when I have to just now. But still a worry when I get home. I put the shopping away and wash my hands a couple of times and don't let Babs touch anything I bring in until a decent time has passed.

Re: Sooooo...The Coronavirus

It's been weird as shit here. Incredibly if there's one country that's fucked up the response even more than the UK, then HIYA!
However, despite being the absolute centre between Boston and NY we've been ok, only our wee town's first death yesterday. Hopefully no more. When I moved across here, weirdly within a couple of months I met another Edinburgh Hearts man who lives 20 minutes away. Unfortunately he's a hospital porter, and I can't envy what he's living through right now.

Listen - just all of you dinnae be daft eh? I've managed to get in touch with the parents who think the internet is the devil's work, I've telt my sister and pals etc - so you just all behave too. No nonsense, or I'll suspend you on here for a month.

Re: Sooooo...The Coronavirus

So the Covid 19 lock down. It's ok for Charlie to come North ( even though he knew he had symptoms ) then the Scottish Health secretary visits a holiday home, an MP drives 40 miles to visit his parents and now we have Boris going to Checkers and being joined by his partner.
In the mean time police are stopping motorists and if you don't have a valid reason for being out are fining people.
Different rules for the rich.
