Right lads, in the absence of the beautiful game, I thought it might be a bit fun to put together a Hibs/Hearts select.
Rules:
1) It's a 442 formation - we'll start at the back and move to back 4 etc
2) There must be a 5/6 split
3) The time span is 30 years - 1990 to present
4) The player suggested must be agreed before we move on to the next one (in the absence of members coming on regularly because of other commitments, I reserve the right to say we can move on to the next player)
Happy with those rules? If no, bugger off.

Right, I'll start with Goram. Any argument?

Niemi. Ranked alongside Cruikshank for me. Cruikie & Goram were better-than-great at their best but had their off days. Never saw one from Niemi tho admittedly he wasn't around as long.

Do you genuinely reckon Niemi was better than Goram?

Happy with Goram because if there's to be a 6/5 split then I don't want to end up with some journeyman clown like Keith Wright in at the end

Ok, I'm outvoted.
But Goram only counts as 1 right? He's not getting 2 places 😉

Feel free to argue his point while we're waiting on Jim's opinion.

Goram is a snidey horrible little prick that I wouldn't waste urine on if he was on fire. As for having him in any team he ranks along side Mc Gregor who I would rather boot in the baws than play him.
Not that I have a strong opinion of either mind.
I would have Ally Niemi, the only one who can fall UP stairs! ( one for the oldies that were there. )

So two for Goram and two for Niemi. What a dilemma!

Forrest or Ian with the deciding vote then. Warning you though, 6/5 split and you're no going to want Riordan and Griffiths up front...
