I ken you love your conspiracies Jim, but it's not man made. Sorry bud but that's just nonsensical shite. Came from animals, same as SARS and MERS. No really debatable.

Sorry IJ but this was made in the lab in Wuhan. It was derived from Bat disease that was discovered in 2003.
IF this was a natural virus why the mass panic? We didn't get this with sars or bird flu or even hemorrhagic fever so why the sudden lock down all over the world? Even when they had the big panic over ebola we didn't have countries closing borders as they are now.
Add to this they can't find a common link between the bats ,other animals and humans so how did it spread?
If you want a conspiracy then how about the 5G destroying the human immune system?
Ps the first palce to get 5G was Wuhan in China.

Absolute clowns. The Natgional figure is 60 and only 11 in Lothian. What are the chances of me or anyone I know coming into contact with anyone who knows, or been in contact with those 11 people?
5.43 million people in Scotland and 60 confirmed cases! I could run around every town and city licking door handles for a week and still not get it.
Went into my local MP's office today to get papers signed and the first thing he said was why are you out of the house in your condition!!!
Like I am going to die of the black death if I stick my nose out the door.
I think it's really important to be measured about the situation, however, I don't really agree with much of your logic Jim.
The number of cases in Scotland is now 121 and we're nowhere near the peak.
There will be thousands of people in Scotland who have Covid 19 and aren't aware of it, hence it will be spread much easier than you seem to think. That coupled with how easily it is transmitted, inevitably means that a lot more people than you think will become infected. That's true HC however there are 10,000 deaths a year with the flu! Why were we allowed to carry on as normal without shutting down the country then? I would turn up for work ( remember I was an ambulance driver ) with flu and they wouldn't send me home and forced me to work with ill people. yet here we are closing down football and banning crowds of more than 500. Yes people will get it, however what are they not telling us? Why is this perceived to be more deadly than the common flu?
If this really is a very bad disease then come out and say so. If however people will get it and maybe not even know then why the panic?
Now thinking of getting people over 70 to stay in doors for four months, FFS! How the feck are they meant to get shopping or even go for a walk!!
This is a man made virus ( I suspect they already have a vaccine ) and someone somewhere is making a mint. Can't quite work out where the money is being made ( other than the pharmaceutical companies ) but there is a far bigger picture than they are letting on.
Ps where you live what are the chances of even getting it? ANY confirmed cases in the islands yet?
I'll give you the 10,000 figure although other sources say 8k.
Irrespective of the 2k difference, over 3000 people in Italy have died in less than 4 weeks. The figures are now higher than China.
Are you still of the same opinion as you were when you wrote this, because if you are, you're an idiot.

No worries HC,
So between 8 and 10 k deaths here each winter and 3k out of 1.2 million people in a country that has the highest number of old people outside Japan. They have the largest number of old people with underlying health problems so obviously the death toll will be higher. ( take the flu bug from here to Italy and I am sure you would see similar numbers die )
Not by any means demeaning these deaths but we have had far worse diseases, Hemorrhagic fever, Ebola etc but they have not closed down the world.
What are they not telling us about this disease?
The point I am making is unless you come into DIRECT contact with someone who has this disease then there is no way you can catch it. ( unlike flu it is not air carried ) By now they have to have details of everyone that has the disease or anyone they have been in contact with, so why the lock down ?
By quarantining anyone entering the country there cannot be any further spread and I am sure the numbers will start to drop soon.
So either they are way over the top OR there is a much more sinister side to this they are not telling us about.
You mentioned panic buying in the islands, Has there even been a confirmed case there yet?

Online!
The 3k out of 1.2m is that for Italy? If so ramp up those numbers because not everyone's been exposed to it, that's what they lock-down is to prevent. The flu figures are I assumed for a whole country for a whole year out of the whole population, a complete figure, the Italy figures hide the fact that if people mingle and pass it on more will be infected, more will die. It's not known how many (tho there'll be projections) which is why they're looking at ramping up the testing everywhere, to identify how many have had it vs those who've had it in a life-threatening/hospitalisation way. Then they'll know how many deaths to expect as it spreads. Italy's figures aren't complete.

The 1.2 Million is for the region of Italy worst hit by deaths and is nowhere near the total population.
What people on here need to understand is I have seen more deaths than probably all of you put together and see it in a completely different way. No way am I playing down the deaths or the numbers, but when taken in prospective the numbers are still very small.
