New signings

With Hibs approaching their fourth, we as yet have not signed a single player. Not that I would trust Levein with any budget, as he has failed miserably in over 120 tries.
The time is now to get rid of Levein and get a manager that can identify and sign decent players ,before the pre season training kicks in.
Why do we always wait until the last minute only to find the player is injured or unfit.

Re: New signings

Naismith needs to wait until his contract payment from Norwich kicks in. It's about £100k and he'll lose it if he signs for anyone else. Hearing Josh Magennis' name a lot, which is a shame.
To be honest I don't really care if Hibs sign 20 players before us, as long as the players we sign are the right ones. Celtic have signed absolutely zero as yet, and I'm pretty sure they're not going to finish behind their fellow greens.

Re: New signings

What is it with Levein and big strikers?

We play enough hoofball without another 6ft plus guy up front.

Re: New signings

Aye, Mandron would be a honking signing imo. I understand we're no Real Madrid, but surely to **** there must be a striker somewhere worth a punt that's scored more goals than they've had bookings.

Re: New signings

So Halkett has signed from Livi. Have to admit I know nothing off him but I am sure he will be pish

Does anyone think he will be OK?

Re: New signings

Don't see Berra playing past this season, so I assume the plan is give Halkett 20 or so games this season (more if injuries obviously) then start him alongside Soapy next season.

Unless of course the rosy cheeked marvel gets sold to some shitehole city down south.

Halkett looked good anytime I saw him. Got into the team of the year as well.

Re: New signings

Applied for a work permit for Cletus Nombil. You can bet if Celtic applied it would be on their desk next day.

Re: New signings

Zero chance of a permit, IMO. I thought he'd have a French passport or some shit, but if we couldn't get one for a Georgian international (who ripped the fuck out of Scotland) then we're no getting one for a laddie from Ghana.

Re: New signings

Conor Washington incoming. Now that's the kind of signing we need to be making. Will be pleased as punch with that.
